We are seeking a meticulous and proactive individual to manage and optimize access control systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our environment, directly impacting the daily operations and security of our diverse workforce. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a secure and accessible workspace, allowing our teams to thrive.

This role is critical for maintaining robust physical security through expert management of access control and badging systems. You will ensure smooth operations, meticulous record-keeping, and proactive issue resolution, directly contributing to a secure and efficient environment for all personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process and fulfill all badging requests received through the dedicated ticket system.
  • Manage and maintain consumable materials for the badging system, including badges, lanyards, and holders, ensuring adequate stock levels and advising the Access Control Lead on reordering needs.
  • Track and accurately record the issuance of temporary badges, maintaining precise records of recipients and associated information.
  • Promptly communicate any operational issues, technical problems, or system malfunctions related to the badging system to the Access Control Lead for timely resolution.
  • Manage and troubleshoot devices integral to the badging process, including diagnosing technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Support metrics-gathering activities on an ad hoc and monthly basis, producing reports on completed tickets, categories, and estimated completion times.
  • Generate reports detailing user and organizational components supported by tickets, with sorting and ordering capabilities.
  • Produce ad hoc or periodic reports on tool or system deficiencies based on user feedback.
  • Develop monthly recommendations reports, including root-cause analysis for process improvement.
  • Provide monthly device uptime reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver quarterly accomplishments reports, covering access control metrics, personnel activity, device uptime/downtime, and categorized ticket information.
  • Support continuous process improvement by validating existing documentation and identifying gaps.
  • Contribute original content to the systems library and ensure standard operating procedures, playbooks, and other documentation on internal platforms are updated monthly.
  • Produce After-Action Reports following events or incidents where service, process, or communication did not meet defined standards.
  • Build and maintain up-to-date onboarding playbooks for access control tasks, training, and access requirements.
  • Conduct system training as required.
  • Support regular or ad hoc coordination activities with stakeholders and organizational partners.
  • Support special projects and duties as assigned.
  • Maintain internal data trackers and dashboards for access control.
  • Ensure team members demonstrate multitasking ability, balance shifting priorities, and effectively communicate with international stakeholders.
  • Ensure team members complete all required security and other training courses on time.
  • Ensure team members adhere to security procedures for data classification, handling, permissions, network, and device security, performing all work on managed devices in accordance with company policies and global security guidelines.
  • Ensure team members comply with company policies regarding password and device credential storage and sharing.
  • Support access onboarding and training for new team members and ensure prompt access removal for departing team members.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Access Control/Badging experience for new resources, or a minimum of three years for experienced resources.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Physical Security Access Control Badging Systems and associated terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing badging system software and related technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
