Aquent is partnering with a global healthcare leader to hire a Senior Product Designer freelance to join an ambitious digital transformation program focused on delivering next-generation customer and patient experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Product Design, AI-powered innovation, Human-Centered Design, and business transformation, helping shape scalable digital products used across global marketing and commercial ecosystems.

We are looking for a designer who combines strong UX expertise, strategic thinking, and a modern product mindset, with a genuine interest in leveraging AI to accelerate design workflows and create higher-impact experiences.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Design Leaders, Engineers, and business stakeholders to design intuitive, scalable, and high-performing digital experiences.

You’ll contribute to products that support marketing, sales, and customer engagement initiatives across a global healthcare organization, while helping evolve design practices through AI-enabled workflows and closer collaboration with engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

Product Design & Business Impact

• Lead end-to-end UX/UI design activities from discovery to delivery.
• Transform user research, analytics, and stakeholder insights into actionable design solutions.
• Design seamless user journeys across complex digital ecosystems, platforms, dashboards, and business applications.
• Balance user needs, product strategy, and business objectives to maximize adoption and product value.
• Create intuitive, accessible, and visually consistent experiences aligned with product vision and strategic roadmaps.

Human-Centered Design & Innovation

• Apply Human-Centered Design methodologies to uncover opportunities and solve meaningful user problems.
• Create rapid prototypes to validate concepts and test assumptions with users.
• Drive iterative design improvements through continuous feedback and experimentation.
• Champion a user-centric culture across multidisciplinary teams.

AI-Augmented Design Workflows

• Integrate Generative AI into design processes, including ideation, research synthesis, prototyping, documentation, and design exploration.
• Experiment with AI-powered tools to accelerate design cycles and increase team efficiency.
• Help establish best practices around AI-enabled design workflows and emerging product design methodologies.
• Explore new ways of designing, testing, and validating experiences through automation and AI assistance.

Design Systems & Engineering Collaboration

• Work within and contribute to a scalable Design System to ensure consistency across products.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to reduce design-to-development friction.
• Understand front-end constraints and component-based design approaches.
• Participate in discussions around technical feasibility, interaction patterns, and scalable implementation.
• Create lightweight prototypes or proof-of-concepts when needed to support product decisions.

What We’re Looking For

Product & Experience Design Expertise

• Significant experience designing digital products and omnichannel experiences.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX/UI work across web applications, mobile experiences, dashboards, workflows, or enterprise platforms.
• Experience designing data-rich interfaces, workflow optimization tools, and marketing or commercial products.
• Ability to translate complex business challenges into elegant and actionable design solutions.
• Strong understanding of product strategy, user adoption, and continuous optimization.

AI & Emerging Technologies

• Practical experience integrating AI into design workflows.
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging design technologies and AI-assisted product development.
• Experience with AI-powered tools for design, research, prototyping, or documentation is highly valued.
• Familiarity with tools such as Cursor or similar AI coding assistants is considered a strong advantage.

Design & Technical Skills

• Advanced mastery of Figma, including design systems, advanced prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, interaction design, accessibility, and component-based systems.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and front-end fundamentals.
• Comfortable collaborating with engineers and discussing implementation considerations.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and complex global environments.
• Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience mentoring designers or contributing to design maturity initiatives is a plus.
